Norway’s ORDER made music that brought to life sounds from the early Norwegian Black Metal days, and with ‘The Gospel’ they have arrived in the energy field that fuelled the early era where they first met : THE TRUE MAYHEM’s Deathcrush era.
I don't really like black metal much. But... this is pitched far enough from the archetypes of the genre that I can actually enjoy it as the beautiful piece of progressive metal that it is. Lethologica82
I would describe HAVUKRUUNU's new album as "typically Finnish". Not only because of the Finnish lyrics, also the anthemic pagan black metal reminds me at Finnish masters like Moonsorrow. "Uinuos Syömein Sota" is majestic and melodic and it offers some piercing traditional guitar passages and heroic chorusses. Check "Kunnes Varjot Saa", a catchy and powerful track which contains all the strengths described. Last but not least: This album spreads positive vibes despite all aggressive elements! H.L.
