A bit grisly like Celtic Frost and Exciter, energetic and relentless like Sodom, this debut album deserves a lot more attention! Goat Worshippers shall like this one, fans of Bloodletter, Warfield and Phantom or Sadus should like this one too! Favorite track: Spiritual Warfare.

Formed in 2017, UK ’s Devastator signed a one-album deal with the UK-based indie label Clobber records in 2020 and would go on to release their debut album “Baptised in Blasphemy” to strong critical acclaim in the press across five continents.
Long out of print and sold out, The band’s debut album is now re-released entirely remastered with new artwork and 8 bonus tracks on the CD version and the new and 2nd album will follow in early Spring 2024 all on Listenable records.

Pretty much the best Black/Speed Metal I've listened to since I learned about Evil Invaders and Vulture. Everything you'd love to be reminded of about this musical era is there. The influences are what you'd expect too: Motörhead, Venom, Bathory, early Slayer, Celtic Frost; aggressive vocals, tortured guitar solos, pounding drums; everything is fast, clear and still a little grimy, but without reverb cranked up to the max.
